Electric Bike Becomes Stationary Bike, Charges Itself

Electric Bike Becomes Stationary Bike, Charges Itself

If Rube Goldberg had been a theoretician, he'd have come up with the OneBike. Here's pretty much the weirdest electric bike idea I have ever seen. It's called the OneBike, and it combines an exercise bike and an electric bike into one. If that sounds ass-backward, read on: it gets worse.

It works like this. At home, the bike folds and fits into a base-station, turning it into a stationary bike. You pedal away and the usual monitoring options tell you how your heart and calories are doing.

Crytek's Timesplitters 4 to be announced soon?

Fans of Crytek's Timesplitters series have been waiting for a good 6 years for a possible sequel to third installment of the Timesplitters series, Future Perfect. Granted 6 years probably isn't as long as the 12 years that fans of Starcraft had to wait for Starcraft II, but either way it seems that the rumors are now saying that Timesplitters 4 not only exists, but is scheduled to be announced soon. The rumor came from the Official PlayStation Magazine UK who stated in their "Rumor Machine" section, "Gun-wielding monkeys are finally making a comeback.

Robots that can learn and think for themselves

Do you live in constant fear, preparing for the day that robots will take over the world. If you do, you won't be too pleased to learn about what the folks over at the Hasegawa Group at the Tokyo Institute of Technology have been up to. The group has managed to create robots that are capable of thinking and learning by themselves. The robots make use of a technology called SOINN (Self-Organizing Incremental Neural Network) lets it think like humans when it encounters tasks that it has never done before.
