Sharp and LG to increase iPad panel shipments in Q2

. After reportedly failing to meet Apple's quality requirements, Sharp and LG Display have now apparently begun shipping a small volume of displays for the new iPad, DigiTimes reported on Friday. “The supply of panels for the new iPad has improved recently, with LG Display and Sharp to ramp up their shipments in the second quarter, which will also result in a significant increase in shipments of the new iPads in the quarter and onwards,” Digitimes's unnamed industry source said.

Julie's Gadget Diary 03-22-12

In my last gadget diary post a few weeks ago I mentioned that I had been day dreaming about my favorite Android feature – desktop widgets. I love my iPhone, but I would love it even more if it had widgets. I'd be overjoyed if I could just display my next several appointments on the home screen. My iPhone has been jailbroken for awhile and I knew I could configure it to show calendar entries in the notification panel, but that wasn't good enough for me. So one thing led to another and I switched back to my Motorola Droid X.

It is said that T-Mobile is lining up a new Huawei myTouch smartphone for the masses, and what you see above is a leaked image that seems to show off the fact that there will be no integrated physical keyboard, and speculation has it that the Huawei myTouch will be known as either the U8680 or the U8730, with one of them sporting a keyboard and the other, otherwise.
