HTC has officially launched its first ever Android-powered tablet, the Flyer, in India. The HTC Flyer, is, of course, one of the more interesting Android tablets, with its 7-inch screen and capacitive stylus. It's also one of only a few tablets running Android Gingerbread, and basically the only offering to come out this year from a big, well known Android manufacturer not to run Android Honeycomb. HTC has added its very own Sense UI on the Flyer, and even optimized it for tablet use, but it remains to be seen if people will consider it good enough.

While it has been available in Romania for about six weeks now, the Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo is still delayed in pretty much the rest of Europe (at least in the main Western European markets). However, today we have a rough idea of when the Xperia Neo will finally become available in at least one of those markets, the UK. Well known online independent mobile retailer Expansys has put the Xperia Neo up for pre-order. The price being asked is £379.99, which is a bit cheaper than what we saw in Romania, but still is (in my humble opinion) a bit overpriced.

When Nokia first unveiled its MeeGo-powered N9 recently, many believers of the Finland-based mobile brand hoped that MeeGo would be the start of its new era. Apparently, the company has other things in mind, as evident in its “super confidential” presentation about the “Sea Ray,” which runs on Windows Phone. In an interview with Finnish periodical Helsingin Sanomat, Nokia CEO Stephen Elop confirmed that the Nokia N9 would be the first–and only–MeeGo smartphone.
