Next-gen Mini interior ditching familiar center speedo

Next-gen Mini interior ditching familiar center speedo

A Reddit user has posted images of the 2015 F56 Mini Cooper, one each of the exterior and interior. As has been the case since the launch of the new Mini in 2001, the overall exterior shape underneath camouflage screams Mini, but insiders are still calling the coming F56 model "the most aggressively different new Mini yet." Inside, though, the two-door that defined premium hatchbacks has, according to its most devoted buyers, gone mainstream. The giant ring atop the center console is there, but there's no longer a speedometer inside of it.

Walmart Considers Using In-Store Customers To Deliver Online Shoppers' Packages

Purchasing goods online has become the shopping method many people prefer these days as making a trip down to a store seems to be more of a hassle than what it's worth. I know my UPS and FedEx drivers extremely well since I receive packages on a regular basis, but Walmart is considering having its customers deliver packages to its online shoppers. The process, which is a form of “crowd-sourcing,” is being considered as a way for Walmart to better compete with Amazon's shipping methods.

Adults Text And Drive More Than Teenagers

Adults Text And Drive More Than Teenagers

We should all know by now just how dangerous it is to text and drive a vehicle, especially if you're a school bus driver, but it seems no matter how hard we try to avoid it, there are many of us who absolutely can't let a text go until we reach a red light or come to a complete stop. You would think the people who are the most guilty in performing this dangerous act are teenagers, but a new report shows adults are the real danger on the road. According to a survey conducted by AT&T, nearly 50 percent of adults admitted they have texted while behind the wheel of their vehicle, compared to 43 percent of teenagers who took the same surgery.

We said they'd probably be out with an official video, we did not lie. The Hennessey-powered camouflage Ford GT sat at one end of the runway at the Texas Mile sitting still. At the other end of the runway it had broken its own speed record, the twin-turbo 5.7-liter V8 pushing the aerodynamic supercar up to 267.6 miles per hour, a 4.3-mph improvement over the old mark. There's not much in the video you haven't already seen, this just makes it official.

Even though Chrysler will reportedly discontinue the Dodge Durango after the current model's lifespan – said to be around 2016 – that isn't stopping the automaker from improving its full-size, three-row SUV. The vehicle won't debut at the New York Auto Show until tomorrow, but images are already leaking out ahead of the embargo lift, and they show that the 2014 model is getting even more aggressive styling to go with more technology inside and out.

If you still find yourself coming up a few seconds short per lap in your Jaguar XKR-S, the British automaker has introduced the XKR-S GT – a cat specifically tuned for the racing circuit – at the New York Auto Show. While Jaguar has left the supercharged 5.0-liter V8 unchanged (550 horsepower and 502 pound-feet of torque), it has tuned and tweaked all the items that really make cars go quicker on the track (e.g. suspension, aerodynamics, contact patches, brakes).

The 2014 Kia Soul has been unveiled at the 2013 New York Auto Show, and the all-new five-door box-on-wheels offers up nearly an extra inch of wheelbase and a track that's wider by .6 inches. The changes offer up a bit more space indoors, and since overall height has remained the same, the Soul now looks a bit less top heavy than before. A wider rear hatch opening also makes loading and unloading cargo easier. Indoors, the 2014 Soul offers a substantially revised cabin with more soft-touch materials, and leather seats are now on the option sheet.

Well, we know for sure that they are not going to overtake the two 800 lbs gorillas at the moment, namely iOS and Android, but it sure as heck has a fighting chance to remain in third position, with the only real competition around being the BlackBerry 10 operating system that was introduced earlier this year alongside some of the newer BlackBerry devices.

No, today we're talking Japan's industrial robots, and through profound statistics, talk of money, and wildly general projections for the future, we're going to spice up this dry robot salad.

Now, industrial robots are basically super-strong, super-precise, fantastically dexterous multi-jointed arms that do pretty much exactly what they look like they should: welding, machining, painting, assembly, etc.

Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini LTE Headed For China?

Yes, we did mention about the Samsung Galaxy S4 mini earlier just now, and it seems that there will definitely be more than just a single variant. After all, it makes perfect sense for a company like Samsung who tends to cast their net pretty wide and far. The Samsung Galaxy S4 mini looks set to come with its own fair share of variants, including an LTE-enabled one. This information came about by Twitter user st7761, who claimed that he found the I9190 model number on Samsung's support page, where that was accompanied by a trio of other I919X devices.

The new control system is definitely user friendly and the new dynamic camera system is top notch.
The PS3 version is exactly the same as its PC counterpart. Settings for Monster Power, Paragon levels after level 60, PvP etc.

New Artificial Retina Doesn't Need External Power Source

New Artificial Retina Doesn't Need External Power Source

The technological advancements in medicine are often overlooked by the general public. Fact remains though that some amazing work is being done in this field. Take the new P3HT polymer for example, which can be used to create an artificial retina. It does not need any external power source like other artificial retinas for which a stimulator box is required. Other than the incident light, an artificial retina created out of P3HT polymer requires no power (other than the incoming light, which makes us wonder how well this works in low-light situations).

The research team behind this demonstrate that this polymer is not toxic to neurons.
