The device is apparently a knockoff and is attempting to attract those who may purchase it thinking it is the Nokia N9. It has been reported to come priced at just $64 and it is unknown what platform it is running on.

Microsoft's Zune service may not be as popular as Spotify, Rdio, and MOG, but it is still there and the company is trying to keep it more appealing and widely available. For those in the United States, they can enjoy the new $10-per-month Zune Music Pass. The service is similar to the existing $15-a-month plan, but users no longer get to keep 10 free MP3s monthly. Microsoft has also brought the Zune Marketplace and Zune Pass to Canada.

Nokia Sabre gets leaked out by Microsoft

Microsoft's Canadian division accidentally spilled the beans on a mysterious Nokia phone, bearing the name Sabre. The leak came from a rather unexpected and, dare we say, a bit boring part of the Windows Phone developer competition announcement - the terms and conditions section to be precise. As you can see in the picture above, the Nokia Sabre was mentioned along with its Searay counterpart, and two Samsung devices, dubbed Yukon and Wembley.

Dell XPS 14z arriving in the US soon

At the IFA 2011 event, Dell unveiled its lightweight XPS 14z laptop but there was no mention of when it would be going on sale. Well, it's been reported that Dell has announced the laptop will be available in “the coming weeks” which means it should be sometime in October. The XPS 14z will feature the same industrial design of the XPS 15z and will measure 13.19 x 9.21 x 0.9 inches - yes, that's less than an inch thick for you folks who like their laptops like magazines.

If you're tired of your kid hogging your computer all day playing games, perhaps this rather affordable Toshiba kid-friendly laptop might be something you could take into consideration. The Toshiba Satellite L735D is actually the L635 that has been given a makeover along with several kid-friendly features and software. As you can see in the photo above, the makeover included a redesign of the casing which has ended up sporting silver and neon-green colors, which to be honest I find rather appealing (perhaps it's the kid in me talking!).
In terms of specs, don't expect the most up-to-date technology.

It looks like BMW may be spreading its ActiveHybrid technology to the 3 Series line in the near future. Autobild is reporting that a battery-laden model will debut shortly after the 2012 3 Series arrives on dealer lots early next year. The report suggests that the company's forced-induction four-cylinder will also show up behind the headlights of the 3 Series in everything but the mighty 335i. The top-of-the-line 3 will continue to boast inline six-cylinder power for the conceivable future.

Verizon Motorola Xoom 4G LTE upgrade now available

After almost seven months, Verizon is finally able to offer Motorola Xoom owners the 4G LTE upgrade it's been promising ever since it launched the first Android Honeycomb-powered tablet. The hardware upgrade opportunity was supposed to arrive within 90 days of the Xoom's release in February. Obviously, that didn't happen. Then after a long period of silence on the issue, back in July we heard that the upgrade would commence in September.

And so it has. Starting today, you can send your Xoom to Verizon for it to get upgraded to support 4G LTE connectivity. The whole affair should take around six business days. Which, indeed, is quite a lot.

41% of mobile users in North America plan to buy iPhone 5, study suggests

According to research recently released by mobile ad network InMobi, 41% of mobile users in North America plan to purchase the iPhone 5. 50% of those planning to purchase the phone will buy it within the first six months after it is launched, which could propel its current 27% smartphone market share to 41%. In an effort to show off just how dominant its engines are in the 2011 F-150, Ford has put together a head-to-head comparison site showing how the 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6, 3.7-liter V6, 5.0-liter V8 and 6.2-liter V8 stack up against the competition. Start by selecting work or play, and then drag the slider to reflect how much you normally tow or haul. Surprisingly, you're in EcoBoost V6 territory all the way to 1,900 pounds of hauling and 6,000 pounds of towing.
