Google Chrome updated to include âDo Not Track' privacy option
. Google (GOOG) on Thursday added support for a Do Not Track privacy option in the latest developer build of its Chrome Web browser, All Things D reported. When Do Not Track is enabled it blocks tracking cookies used by advertisers for targeting purposes. The Internet giant has offered an extension in its Chrome Web Store since 2011 that acted in a similar manner, however unlike its competitors - Firefox, Internet Explorer and Safari - the option was not built directly into the browser.

Apple blown away by incredible iPhone 5 demand
. Apple (AAPL) has finally chimed in with their take on iPhone 5 preorder sales, and in short, they are “blown away by the customer response.” In a statement to The Loop, Apple also goes on to say that, “pre-orders for iPhone 5 have been incredible” and are all spoken for if you want to get your iPhone 5 on launch day. AT&T and Verizon have also moved through their allotted inventory for launch day delivery, not pushing shipments back to more than a week in most cases. Sprint also seems to be just about sold out, with possibly some 64GB units left, but that's not confirmed.

Peugeot RCZ R Concept is an unsubtle hint at performance coupe to come
Say one thing for Peugeot at its home Paris Motor Show this season: the company knows how to run with a theme. Peugeot, some might argue, stole the 2012 show with its Onyx supercar concept; that car has an Onyx Scooter Concept that matches it in livery (if not performance). But, perhaps the most realistic vehicle to wear the matte black and copper attire is this hotted-up RCZ R Concept.

WSJ: 2012 iPhone to support global 4G LTE
Now we're intrigued. It's a common (if unconfirmed) belief that the next iPhone will support LTE-based 4G, but the Wall Street Journal now understands through the ever-present “people familiar with the matter” that Apple is taking 4G worldwide. Where the current iPad only supports two LTE frequencies and drops to HSPA+ outside of the US and Canada, the new iPhone will supposedly cover parts of Asia and Europe as well.

Infiniti registers highest emotional attachment among car brands
Do you love your car. Like, really love your car. How about your iPhone. According to Forbes, a group called New Media Metrics has a way to quantify just how much you adore your devices, and how that emotional connection determines your purchasing behavior.
The metric is called Leveraging Emotional Attachment for Profit, or LEAP, and just like it sounds, it measures how much we love products. That affection will likely lead to purchase to fill that attachment. The LEAP index began in 2010, and for the first two year the iPod topped the list, only to be unseated by the iPhone this year.

Gigabyte shirt carries data around
You would have heard of the expression "wearing your heart on your sleeve", but in the future, someone might actually ask you to wear your data. That puzzled look would soon make way for an acknowledgement in the future, as NASA scientists has discovered a method to transform fabrics into voluminous storage arrays. To put it in plain English, we are looking at a simple shirt being turned into a potential storage medium. As for the amount of memory that can be stored, it really depends, although terabytes would not be out of the question.

The Korean asking price will be a reported KRW 299,000 (about $267) for the 16GB edition, a smidgen less than its neighbor's (¥19,800 / $255). We suspect, though, not quite enough to warrant a ferry ride.

Toyota kills plans for widespread iQ EV sales after misreading demand and battery tech
2012 was supposed to be the year the all-electric version of the Toyota/Scion iQ made a splash. Instead, it appears that while it remains technically true that the iQ EV will launch this year, it will be a much, much smaller splash than previously anticipated. According to Reuters, the iQ will have an "extremely limited release.". That's a kind way to say that the 100 iQ EVs that Reuters says Toyota will now sell in the U.S. and Japan is a much smaller figure than was anticipated. The writing has been on the wall for a while.

While a four-star rating is still pretty respectable, this announcement does come on the heels of three separate recalls that have been issued for the new Escape since its introduction this summer.

After tallying up the value of all the guts, a 16GB iPhone costs $199, which is $11 more than the 4S cost to build when it came out. iSupply adds $8 per phone to account for labor, which seems like a pretty good rate for backbreaking, repetitive work. After adding in the labor cost, the 16GB iPhone comes out to $207, a 32GB iPhone may cost Apple $217 and the 64GB model is estimated to cost $328.
