2014 Toyota Corolla coming Thursday, now with LED headlamps

2014 Toyota Corolla coming Thursday, now with LED headlamps

Here's what we know about the redesigned 2014 Toyota Corolla: It will have "aggressive new styling" with "available seventeen-inch alloy wheels" an "available touch screen audio" system and "available LED headlights.". We know all of this because Toyota has seen fit to release a small assortment of teaser images of the 2014 Corolla, with those descriptions attached. The latest to hit the web shows LED lighting clusters, which, to Toyota's credit, don't appear to merely mimic designs already seen in the automotive world.

What are the best keyboard apps for Android phones and tablets?

A lot of us use our Android devices for a variety of day to day tasks – I know I do. From typing quick texts to my friends, to shooting status updates to my Twitter, life isn't all Ingress on my Nexus 4. As such, I found myself in a quandary not too long ago. The state of IMEs on Android is not what I feel it should be. Thus, I began a quest for the “Perfect” IME, on both my Nexus 4 and my Nexus 10. Read on for how that went.

Long ago, I loved the keyboard that came with my HTC Dream (or, as T-Mobile users affectionately know it as, the T-Mobile G1).

Verizon's Innovation Center: Incubating the next generation of connected devices keeps the 'dumb pipe' naysayers at bay

Verizon's Innovation Center: Incubating the next generation of connected devices keeps the 'dumb pipe' naysayers at bay

If you build it, they will come. The facility is fairly nondescript from the outside - save for that unmistakable Verizon logo visible through panes of crystal at the entrance. But, as with most high-security office buildings located within business parks, the real magic requires an ID badge to see. Upon entering, I'm blitzed with red. It's on the floor, on the walls and emitted from a smattering of overhead projectors. As far as the eye can see, it's one concept after another - or "visionary product," as director of Verizon's Innovation Program Praveen Atreya puts it.

IRL: the iPad mini and racing the Lexus IS with Google Glass

Like every good sitcom family, we've got friendly neighbors who sometimes drop in to say hello. This week, at least, that neighbor is none other than SlashGear Editor-in-chief Vincent Nguyen, who played wingman to Darren Murph as he attempted to use Google Glass to film a first-person test drive in the 2014 Lexus IS. Also after the break, Andy Bowen makes a case for why the 4G iPad mini makes a better hotspot than a run-of-the-mill MiFi device. Racing the 2014 Lexus IS, as captured by Glass

I'll confess: I have an open invitation to spend $1,500 on Google Glass due to my presence at I/O 2012. After using the set that Mr.

2015 Cadillac ATS-V gunning for the BMW M3

2015 Cadillac ATS-V gunning for the BMW M3

Spy photographers have spotted something interesting. Cadillac engineers have taken to public streets with the upcoming ATS-V and a playmate: the current BMW M3 Sedan. The prototype seen here wears a more aggressive front fascia, flared fenders and beefy brakes. Quad exhaust tips and what looks to be a small lip spoiler on the trunk deck sum up the most obvious visual changes over the standard ATS outside. Word has it the ATS-V will bow with the same twin-turbo 3.6-liter V6 available in the nose of the XTS.

Wacom Cintiq 13HD review: a space-saving pen display for the design savvy workflow

Wacom Cintiq 13HD review: a space-saving pen display for the design savvy workflow

Perhaps what we're really asking for here is the full-fledged tablet that was teased back in March. The ability to work wirelessly tethered to a laptop or desktop machine with the option to take a slate-style device on the go is quite a compelling thought. We're well-aware that issues would arise - like rechargeable batteries and built-in storage - but for design prosumers, Wacom is well-suited to take the leap. Secondary-display apps for iPad and Android tablets simply don't offer anywhere near the customization - and performance, for that matter - that these peripherals do to speed up labor-intensive workflows.
