Alleged LulzSec hacker dreamt of a career with the NSA or DoD prior to arrest

Cody Kretsinger, the alleged LulzSec member who was arrested in Arizona last week, was a student at the University of Advancing Technology in Arizona with the dream of one day working in network security for the National Security Agency or the Department of Defense. Krebs on Security noticed Kretsinger was named “Student of the Month” during his tenure at the UAT, which posted an interview with the accused hacker. “While I wouldn't mind being a penetration tester, I think it's a lot more fun to try to build and secure a network and its devices from the ground up,” Krestinger said in the interview.

LG SU880 Optimus EX with Tegra 2 SoC and NOVA screen unveiled

LG has just officially unveiled its Korea-bound Optimus EX smartphone. We first met with the Android-running handset last week, when we got an official photo and detailed specs ahead of teh launch, so there are no surprises now. The LG Optimus EX runs on Gingerbread and relies on a Tegra 2 chipset with a 1.2 GHz dual-core CPU and 1GB of RAM to do the math. The 4" WVGA screen on top will be of the NOVA variety, which promises one of the highest brightness levels on the market.

At the back there's a 5 megapixel camera that does 1080p video recording, while on the front is a VGA camera for video-chatting.

iPhone 5 redesign reworked, Samsung Galaxy S3 to launch in February 2012?

iPhone 5 redesign reworked, Samsung Galaxy S3 to launch in February 2012?

Eldar Murtazin who has sources that seem to be of supernatural origin as he tends to hit the rumors right on the head most of the time, tweeted not too long ago that “Apple decided to rework iphone5 [sic] design.” Is that so. If that is the case, then what will happen to all of those leaked iPhone 5 cases. I guess that is not our headache to deal with, but if what Eldar received from the grapevine is true, then it would be interesting to see just what kind of redesign we could be looking at.

Samsung accused of ripping-off iPad in Australian court

If you're thinking that the global fight between Samsung and Apple over patents related to tablets and smartphones is beginning to resemble the 7 Years' War, you're right. We've already seen dueling complaints of patent infringement filed in European courts, with Apple managing to block sales of Samsung's Galaxy tab 10.1 in Germany and getting a similar preliminary decision in a Dutch Court. And of course, South Korea-based Samsung has moved to block iPhone 5 in Korea.
