Even Koenigsegg drivers use coat hangers when they lock themselves out

Even Koenigsegg drivers use coat hangers when they lock themselves out

There are but a few certain universal truths. Among them: locking yourself out of your own vehicle sucks. That fact is accurate whether your keys are sitting in the ignition of your '89 Ford Escort or your Koenigsegg CCR. Just ask the owner of this particular Swedish supercar. While at a track day, the owner shut the door with the keys lounging contentedly in the ignition, and the car did what it's supposed to do by locking everything up tight.

Mitsubishi to debut Concept G4 sedan in Bangkok

Mitsubishi to debut Concept G4 sedan in Bangkok

With the Bangkok Motor Show coming up at the end of this month, Mitsubishi is giving us a teaser of a new concept vehicle called the Concept G4. Standing for "Global 4-door," the G4 shows what Mitsubishi has planned for its global compact sedan, which is known as the Mitsubishi Lancer in most parts of the world. This single sketch doesn't provide too many details about the new concept, but we can see cues like the oversized headlights, a six-sided grille, vertical foglight bezels and sharp body lines.

Toyota pondering high-performance GT86 hybrid?

Toyota pondering high-performance GT86 hybrid?

From what Autocar has to say, Toyota has even more plans for the GT86 beyond the convertible concept we just saw at the Geneva Motor Show. Along with a planned midcycle facelift, Toyota is reportedly looking at how to pack some extra ponies under the coupe's hood, and while there has already been a lot of talk about superchargers and turbochargers, it sounds like a performance-boosting hybrid system could also be in the works. Talking to Toyota chief engineer Tetsuya Tada, Autocar has learned that the automaker is considering an electrical motor assist for the sporty coupe to improve performance without harming fuel economy.

It comes with 4.7″ 1080p screen, a 4-megapixel rear-facing camera (dubbed Zoe, featuring larger individual pixels with better low-light performance), dual front-facing speakers, LTE networking, a totally re-imagined Sense skin atop Android Jelly Bean (I thought was Windows os), Bluetooth 4.0, and powered by a 1.7GHz quad-core processor, NFC, 2GB of RAM, and 32 or 64GB of onboard storage.

Next Mercedes-Benz C-Class spotted in the snow

Next Mercedes-Benz C-Class spotted in the snow

The entry-level Mercedes-Benz C-Class has long felt like nothing more than, well, just that. Aside from the potent and delicious C63 AMG models, there hasn't been much to set the C-Class apart in the entry-level luxury/sport segment, leading to the model being regarded by many as "The Cheap Mercedes." No, it's certainly not a bad car, but for our money, it hasn't stood up particularly well to competitors like the BMW 3 Series or Audi A4. So with the handsome new CLA-Class coming to round off the entry-level end for Mercedes-Benz, big plans are in store for the C-Class.

HP announces the Slate 7, their new 7″ Android tablet

The Slate 7 is the newest Android tablet from HP.  The Slate 7 has a “fully-featuered” 7″ screen and front and rear cameras.  The back is made of painted stainless steel, which probably explains why this small tablet weighs 13 ounces.  This tablet runs Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean), and as HP says, it's capable of running anything you find in the Google Play store.  Beats Audio means the Slate  7 produces ”the best sounding, richest audio available on a tablet.”  It will be available in April 2013 in the US, and it will have a $169 starting price.
