Since it would be ridiculous to purchase a contract-bound Samsung Galaxy S II today, with a newer version of the phone now available, T-Mobile decides to make its version of Samsung's erstwhile smartphone available without a contract. The T-Mobile version of the Galaxy S II will be sold for $299 in Walmart, compared to the $550 price tag if you buy the same smartphone outright. The only downside to this is that you must also purchase a no-contract plan of at least $30 monthly, which you can discontinue whenever you want.
