Sony introduces MDR-DS7500 wireless 7.1 channel headphones

Sony has just announced what they are claiming to be the world's first wireless headphones to offer digital surround sound capabilities. The model in question is part of Sony's MDR lineup, the MDR-DS7500 and will feature Sony's latest audio processing chip. The processing chip is said to be able to provide support for up to 7.1 channel audio and Dolby ProLogic II z decoder support for surround sound reproduction.
