Apple has decided to recall the 1st generation iPod nano globally. The recall is due to the battery in the 1st generation iPod nano that may overheat and pose a safety risk. It is affected iPod nanos that were sold between September 2005 and December 2006. The 1st gen iPod nano owners should contact Apple in order to receive a replacement unit for free.
