YouTube HTML5 player gets improvements

YouTube HTML5 player gets improvements

YouTube's HTML5 player has been around for quite some time now, but it's still in its trial mode, with the player missing a number of features that are only present in the Flash player. Well it looks like the gap between the two players is starting to close right now. Reports online indicate that the HTML5 YouTube player now supports 1080p playback, native fullscreen playback, closed captioning, annotations and a new menu that makes it easier to embed and share videos. While Google is improving its HTML5 player, it's worth nothing that they haven't abandoned Flash yet.
