Apple wants to overtake Samsung in flash memory industry

Apple wants to overtake Samsung in flash memory industry

Apple is a cash rich company, and recently, word on the street has it that Cupertino is ready and willing to open their wallets to pick up Anobit, an Israel-based flash memory manufacturer whose products are already seeing action in the iPhone, iPad and MacBook Air. Just how much cash are we talking about here. Oh, not an amount that would dent Apple's bottom line, just up to $500 million thereabouts, which is a move that could potentially see Samsung lose their position as bosom buddy of Apple when it comes to supplying flash memory parts for their devices.

Ubergizmo, Apple wants to overtake Samsung in flash memory industry
