Google invests $94 million in solar energy

Google has been doing a pretty good job of going green this year, making quite a large number of purchases related to clean, renewable energy. And to cap off the year, everybody's favorite search engine company has done it again with the investment in a portfolio of four solar photovoltaic (PV) projects being built by Recurrent Energy near Sacramento, California. Google announced that it spent $94 million on its latest investment, which brings up the total amount of money spent by the company on clean energy to over $915 million.
