Apparently it took one primary inventor and the input from 910 other people to develop this desktop organizer.  The Pen Zen from Quirky has a couple of rubber combs inside that hold your pens, pencils, and markers.  Magnets embedded in the bamboo sides can hold a few paper clips for easy access, too.  It can be used horizontally or vertically.
