Rohm is working since several years in Japan in in-house Energy Harvesting where their High Efficiency Dye-sensitized Solar Cells or DSC will be capable to harvest your average room light within a 400 to 800nm wavelength to power low power consuming products ranging from Wall clock, TV Remote, PC mice and other indoors devices. With a 30% or higher conversion efficiency, these High Efficiency Dye-sensitized Solar Cells comes with a 4x4cm size with a 1 to 2mW output.
